Just a few metres from Bellevue on Zurich's Hechtplatz, you can find a new gastronomic concept, which captivates with a modern French charm and stylish atmosphere. On two floors, guests are immersed in a high-quality ambience full of exciting contrasts. Classical elements of brass, leather and wood meet specially designed furniture, Lalique crystal panels and selected photographic art from the Zurich Bildhalle Gallery. The tables made especially for the restaurant from recycled ironwood have integrated brass rechauds and perfectly match to the rest of the interior. In addition, unusual and artistic lamps as well as old typewriters on the wall create a exceptional ambience. Even the steak knives were specially designed for the restaurant by the Swiss artist Sebastian Schaub.
This special brasserie experience awaits you at “Noir”. A restaurant, which focuses on just a single menu with the potential for an absolute favourite dish - finest Swiss entrecôte, whether prepared on the grill or as a tatar, accompanied by the homemade and crispy "Noir" French fries à discrétion. This is rounded off by the "Noir Signature Sauce", which is made according to a secret recipe, based on Café de Paris and herb notes. The menu includes a crunchy salad with radishes and walnuts in a spicy Dijon mustard sauce.
Dessert lovies can enjoy refined dessert creations, which are created according to classic French recipes in the "Noir" patisserie. You can choose from profiteroles au chocolat, baba au rhum, crème caramel, mousse au chocolat or a refreshing sour cream ice cream with seasonal fruits and caramelised nuts.
The "Noir" places great value on hand-picked, best local products for their dishes. The same idea is also attached when it comes to drinks. For example, the beer on tap comes from a small brewery in Stammheim called “Hofbrauerei Hopfentropfen” and the coffee comes from the Rickli roasting house. The culinary offer is rounded off by an extensive range of wines - including a selection of wines served by the glass - with classics and impressive rarities.
