Korean Soul Food | Angry Chicken
We know it's been a long time since our last blog post, Covid-19 and the corresponding restaurant closures in Switzerland have forced us to take a break. Nevertheless, during this time we had the opportunity to try some Take-Away options in Zurich and would like to introduce you to one of them in particular: ANGRY CHICKEN!
The newest baby of the “Familie Wiesner Gastronomie” is born. ANGRY CHICKEN is available at “Kitchen Republic” which combines several FWG food brands. Located at Heinrichstrasse they prepare your delivery orders and make your food ready for take-away. You can either pre-order online or place your order on-site at one of their “Easy Order Stations”. You've probably heard of other restaurants in Zurich like The Butcher, Poke Nation, Negishi Sushi Bar, Nooch Asian Kitchen, etc., next to ANGRY CHICKEN, you can also find the food of these restaurants at Kitchen Republic.
As the name ANGRY CHICKEN indicates, it's mainly about chicken. To be exact: Korean fried chicken! Nevertheless, there are also vegetarian or vegan options for non-meat eaters. We were allowed to test ourselves through the menu and pre-ordered the food online. The order arrived on time. The food arrived warm, but we like it very hot and therefore warmed it up again. We ordered Chicken Wings, Chicken Pieces, Korean Fried Cauliflower, the Angry Burger and various sides like fries and edamame. Of course, we couldn’t resist trying their diverse sauces.
The chicken was crispy and juicy and went well with the different sauces. Surprisingly, we liked the Korean Fried Cauliflower the best! The burger was tasty and we really liked the special Asian touch. We would highly recommend ordering different sauces as we did, to make the ANGRY CHICKEN taste experience even more special.
As restaurant tester and lover, we are not the biggest fans of food delivery. We simply love to test food in a restaurant with a great ambience. Unfortunately, we have already had some negative experiences with food delivery, however, ANGRY CHICKEN managed to convince us! If you fancy something new and don't feel like cooking at home, we definitely recommend trying Korean Fried Chicken. Nevertheless, we look forward to when restaurants are allowed to reopen their doors. Until then: Let's support the gastronomy scene together by ordering food online!
