There are numerous catering possibilities in Oerlikon, which consist mainly of snack stands, fast food restaurants or similar. But if you have higher demands on food and ambience, there is not much to choose from in Oerlikon. Actually a pity, because many business people are romping around in this area, who could be potential customers for a fine business lunch.

The Restaurant Ö serves classic French dishes and regional specialties. The long bar in the Restaurant Ö offers a wide selection of spirits including over 20 different gins, various cocktails and fine wine. Cigar lovers get their money's worth in the elegant “Salon du Cigare”, where also self-brought cigars can be enjoyed.

The menu of the Restaurant Ö is truly inspired by French cuisine and offers real classics such as various "moules et frites" or even "escargots". Those who don't like molluscs can also choose between delicacies such as beef entrecôte "Café de Paris" or beef tartare “Ö”.

We went to the restaurant Ö for dinner and were seated at one of the big round tables at the window. As an appetizer, we decided on the seasonal recommendation of the chef, which included a baby vegetable salad in a quinoa ring and salmon rolls with pearl onions. Additionally, we ordered the beef tartare. The dishes were arranged extremely beautifully, whereby the baby vegetable salad made the most of it visually. Also in terms of taste a felicitous thing. A funny addition were the perfumes for the beef tartare, which were served with it and consisted of different spirits.

For the main course, we had to try the house speciality "moules et frites", lamb chops with green asparagus and stroganov with butter noodles. Again, the quality of the ingredients is tangible. Excellent mussels and, above all, not too few of them.

For dessert, we shared the summer dessert, which consisted of white chocolate mousse with raspberry core, blackberry ice cream and meringue. A nicely prepared dessert, which was not too small and not too big - the cherry on the cake.

The restaurant Ö scores with its classic concept, French cuisine and attentive service. The dignified ambience in a small frame invites you for a discreet lunch, a fine dinner or just a drink at the bar. With its fine cuisine and wide range of French classics, the Restaurant Ö brings some culinary art to Oerlikon and establishes itself as a hot spot for business appointments. All we can say is: Ö là là!
